Casey Aiken - Managing Member

P. Case "Casey" Aiken II, a Washington area native, has more than thirty years of experience as a real estate attorney, broker and investor. Beginning in 2001, Mr. Aiken and the other Co-Managing Managers in National Capital Holdings, LLC ("NCH") have worked together to identify and acquire a diversified portfolio of investment properties. Mr. Aiken serves as NCH's corporate legal counsel and also has responsibilities which include identifying investment opportunities, securing debt financing, analyzing alternative investment strategies for investor participation and acting as Co-Asset Manager for NCH's self storage and hotel portfolios.

Mr. Aiken is a founding partner in the law firm of Moses & Aiken, LLC, located in Rockville, Maryland. The firm concentrates on commercial real estate transactions, leasing and syndications. Mr. Aiken is a lecturer on "Real Estate Contracts and Settlement Procedures" for the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors and the Housing Affordability Council of Montgomery County, Maryland.

Mr. Aiken, an experienced negotiator, has negotiated commercial leases for over 1 million square feet of office and retail space while representing both landlords and tenants. An attorney since 1981, Mr. Aiken is a member of the Maryland, District of Columbia and Georgia bars. Mr. Aiken earned his Master of Science in Business from American University, his Juris Doctor from Potomac School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University. Mr. Aiken is a graduate of Leadership Montgomery and is a past President of the Rockville Chamber of Commerce. He also served on the Board of Trustees of Georgetown Preparatory School and is the past President of the Alumni Association.


Rory S. Coakley - Managing Member

Rory S. Coakley is the President of Rory S. Coakley Realty Inc., a full service real estate services and development company headquartered in Rockville, Maryland. Coakley Realty is actively involved in residential and commercial sales, leasing, property management, appraisals, tax appeals, land development and property investment. Coakley Realty and affiliate Coakley Realty Management LLC have several employees and over twenty-five independent contractors skilled in all areas of the real estate services industry. Mr. Coakley is a licensed real estate Broker in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and the District of Columbia. He is also a Certified General Appraiser in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Mr. Coakley also serves as the asset manager and owner’s representative for six hotels, two self storage facilities, sixteen warehouses and three office buildings.

At National Capital Holdings, LLC ("NCH") Mr. Coakley cultivates and develops investor relationships. Mr. Coakley has extensive experience in structuring commercial real estate investments. In addition, he serves as the Co-Asset Manager of two self storage facilities and three hotels at NCH.

Mr. Coakley, a Washington area native, has a Bachelors of Science degree in Finance from Georgetown University and a Masters of Science in Real Estate & Urban Development from American University. For five years, he served as an adjunct lecturer in real estate finance at Georgetown University. He is the past president of the Rockville Chamber of Commerce, both the past president and a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Gridiron Club of Georgetown University and the past president of the Alumni Association at Georgetown Prep. Mr. Coakely is the current Vice President of Development for Community Ministries of Rockville.


Harry A. Kettmer - Managing Member

Harry A. Kettmer has been actively involved in the acquisition of commercial investment properties for almost thirty years. Since 2001, the majority of these transactions have occurred with his Co-Managing Managers in National Capital Holdings, LLC ("NCH") where his primary responsibilities include identifying investment opportunities, securing debt financing, analyzing alternative investment strategies for investor participation, and acting as Co-Asset Manager for NCH's office and hotel portfolios.

Mr. Kettmer began this focused acquisition strategy in 2001. From that time to the present, he has served as Managing Member in fourteen real estate investments including limited service hotels, two-thousand self-storage units, multiple office buildings and industrial warehouses.

From 1978 to 2000, Mr. Kettmer invested in several apartment buildings, offices and tracts of land for residential town house development. As President of the real estate brokerage firm, KETTMER & COMPANY, Inc., he represented numerous individual clients, non-profit organizations and developers as a Buyer's Broker. Mr. Kettmer was also responsible for implementing clients' disposition efforts by assisting them in either a Tax Deferred Exchange or other tax sensitive strategy. He most often coordinated the firm's real estate marketing strategies with clients' attorneys, accountants and other related financial advisors to successfully implement clients' investment objectives.

Mr. Kettmer holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California. He has served as a guest lecturer in real estate at several universities and seminars within the Metropolitan Washington DC area. Mr. Kettmer is a licensed real estate broker in the District of Columbia. In addition, Mr. Kettmer has served as an officer or board member in multiple professional organizations including MAREMA (Middle Atlantic Real Estate Marketing Association), the Maryland Commercial Roundtable, the Commercial Investment Council of The Washington Board of Realtors and the Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Committee.

Mr. Kettmer actively volunteers for his church and many non-profit community organizations, including Bright Beginnings Child Developmental Center, The Darrell Green Youth Life Foundation, The Washington Center, The Archdiocese of Washington, Catholic Charities Foundation and Blessed Sacrament Church. In addition to contributing his real estate, fundraising and management expertise, he has served in leadership positions with numerous committees and boards.


Stephen J. Smet - Managing Member

Stephen J. Smet entered the real estate business in 1979 while still working in banking and the computer industry. He entered Commercial Real Estate full time in 1986 with a large regional real estate services firm specializing in investment property sales. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he was a multi-million dollar sales club member with the Washington DC Association of Realtors and the Washington Area Commercial Brokers Council. He acquired his Real Estate Brokers Licenses in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia during this time. Mr. Smet founded Trinity Properties Incorporated in 1993, a commercial real estate brokerage, advisory and investment firm in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. During his first year in business, he participated in transactions valued at over $35 Million.

With partners in 2001, Mr. Smet formed Crossroads Properties LLC, to acquire, own and manage real estate investments in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. Mr. Smet actively manages and leases three of these holdings and acts as a managing member on these as well as other holdings. As Co-Managing Manager of National Capital Holdings, LLC ("NCH"), Mr. Smet concentrates on assessing the viability of commercial real estate investments. In addition to identifying the market factors affecting commercial real estate investments at the time of acquisition and disposition for NCH, Mr. Smet helps create strategies to reposition investments to maximize their potential.

Mr. Smet received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Fairfield University. He is a member of numerous real estate associations including National Association of Realtors, Maryland Association of Realtors, Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors, Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors and Realtors Commercial Alliance. He has served as an expert in real estate in the United States Bankruptcy Court, for the Internal Revenue Service and has helped clients as a consultant and as a licensed broker. He is also the principal broker for Oakbrook Management, a local property management company servicing apartment and condominium properties.

Mr. Smet, a Washington area native, is actively involved in his community. He served as President of Norbeck Meadows Civic Association, a five hundred home community in Olney, Maryland, for seven years and as the President and on the executive Board of Greater Olney Citizens Association, a civic association for twenty-eight homeowner associations in Olney, Maryland, for two years and six years, respectively. He also served on the St. Peter's School Home and School Association Board for two years and volunteers in school and church projects. He has been an active member of the Knights of Columbus since college.
